Frozen Buns

A little while ago Utah State University held a snow sculpture competition. Thanks to my consummate competency at constructing commodes, this blessed beauty brought home the bacon. I don't remember which prize it won, so I'll just say it was first place. Kevin, on the right, was my partner in crime. I wish I had a picture of the finished product. It looked even better than this work-in-progress shot.

Here's a closer shot of our little Bree. Ain't she cute? Posted by Hello

My Two Girls

Allow me to introduce my two girls. The one in bed is my amazing bride, January. She is my Pulcheria. The little one wrapped like a burrito is Brielle Maia. She's adorable and very sweet. She knows her dad needs sleep, because she's made it a habit to get about 10 hours of sleep a night since she was about 6 or 7 weeks old. Ah, the beauty of it all. Yes, I know I'm spoiled. Snow Day

Well, now's as good a time as any to post another picture. In the early days of January (the 11th, I believe) Logan had a big snow-storm, while the rest of the state got a little rain (mixed with a little snow that didn't stick). School was canceled after 2:30 (my class didn't get out until 2:45), but we were forced to go back the next day. Alas. Posted by Hello

When in Turkey...

While in Istanbul, I stopped by the hippodrome to ponder Constantine's Pillar, from which all distances in the Empire were measured. Posted by Hello

Salvete, Amici Omnes!

Hi there everyone. This is Ahenobarbus (Red-Beard) Textor from Logan, UT. I'm not sure what I want to do with this whole blog thing yet, so check back once in a while, and hopefully there'll be some new updates.
